MCT Returns October 13-17!
For a 13th seson, the renown Missoula Children's Theatre returns for a week-long residency. This year'sw musical production is "Aladdin," and will be performed for the first time at the Historic Palace Theatre! Group audition is Tuesday, October 13 at 4 pm in the Taylor Theatre Meeting Room. Performances, Saturday, October 17 at 3 & 7 pm. $7 all seats; ages 2 and under free. For info, call 433-2617.
Save the Date: Kenan Center's 3rd Annual Gala, October 24Join us for a gala evening of food, drinks, and live music with Kevin Clark and the Mark Mazur Trio at the Lockport Town & Country Club. 6:30 p.m. to midnight with one hour open bar and hors d'ouerves from 6:30-7:30 pm followed by dinner. Black tie optional. Proceeds to benefit Kenan Center Scholarship Program, providing those in need with the ability to participate. Tickets are $75/individual and $150/couple. New! Art Classes for Kids Starts October 27!Cassandra McFeeley, who provided great hands-on art projects during our KidQuest Summer Youth Program, will be teaching a new drawing class geared to beginners called Art with Cassandra. The class will run for 6 weeks, Tuesdays for ages 5-8 and Thursdays for ages 9-12. 5:30-6:30 pm. For more details, click here.

Winter ClosingWeather-related Closings The Kenan Center (Business Office and Gallery) and Preschool are closed when the Lockport Schools are closed due to weather. Events scheduled for days when the Center is closed due to weather may still take place. Please refer to local TV stations for event cancellations. You can also call the Kenan Center Business number at 433-2617 for a recorded voicemail message about cancellations. The Kenan Arena and recreational programs may take place even if the Center is closed. If you have children in a program that is cancelled, you will be contacted. You can also call the Arena at 433-2619 to inquire if a program is cancelled. Generally, a decision to cancel a recreational program is made in the afternoon of a weather-related event. Promoters of special events not hosted by the Kenan Center that are cancelled due to weather are responsible for informing the public about the cancellation of their event. Again, we recommend watching your local news channel for event cancellations.
