The House & Gallery will be closed July 3-5 for the Indepedence Day Holiday.

The Kenan Center House Gallery presents the Fine Arts League of Buffalo 62nd Annual Spring Juried Open Exhibition, June 14-July 19. A public reception will be held on Sunday, June 28 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, noon-5 pm and Sundays, 2-5 pm. The Gallery is closed Saturdays until after Labor Day.

New! KidQuest Summer Programs for Kids!

Registrations are on-going while spaces remain available!

This summer, all the best fun can be found at Kenan Center! During our 6-week KidQuest program, children ages 7-15 can take part in a day long recreational program; little ones ages 3-6 can enjoy an hour-long KidVentures program with a different weekly theme and activity every day; young thespians ages 6-11 can work on their skills in our Summer Theatre Enrichment program; and the Whimsical Sculpture project returns! Plus, there will a mini camp for our Montessori Preschool students to get ready for the academic year, and a free, all-ages performance by the zany acting troupe, N.U.R.T., from Niagara Univeristy. 2015 Kenan Quilters' Guild Show: Submission Forms Now Available

The biennial quilt show takes place in the Kenan Arena, November 6-8. Members and non-members of the guild are invited to submit quilts to the show. Complete details along with rerquired forms can be downloaded from our Affiliates page.

KENAN SPEAKER SERIES 2015: Author & Lecturer Lauren Winner, September 26

In this on-going series of topical lectures on religion and culture, the Kenan Center with the First Presbyterian Church of Lockport, is proud to present Lauren Winner, Saturday, September 26, 3 pm. The program will be followed by a reception in the Kenan House. Winner is the author of numerous books including Girl Meets God, Still: Notes on a Midlife Crisis, and her newest book, Wearing God. She is an Associate Professor of Christian Spiritualty at Duke Divinity School as well an as ordained Episcopal priest. A book discussion will also take place on September 14, 6:30 pm, at the Lockport Public Library. Only 150 seats available. Tickets are $10 general public and $5 for students with ID. Improv Comes to the Kenan Center!

Defiant Money Improv is Karen Eichler and Andy Spragge, and they're bringing some hilarity to the Taylor Theater twice a month from may through December. The Kenan Center is the perfect setting for a wedding, reception, meeting, or private party. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are available. Summer dates are limited and fill up quickly. Winter Closing

Weather-related Closings The Kenan Center (Business Office and Gallery) and Preschool are closed when the Lockport Schools are closed due to weather. Events scheduled for days when the Center is closed due to weather may still take place. Please refer to local TV stations for event cancellations. You can also call the Kenan Center Business number at 433-2617 for a recorded voicemail message about cancellations. The Kenan Arena and recreational programs may take place even if the Center is closed. If you have children in a program that is cancelled, you will be contacted. You can also call the Arena at 433-2619 to inquire if a program is cancelled. Generally, a decision to cancel a recreational program is made in the afternoon of a weather-related event. Promoters of special events not hosted by the Kenan Center that are cancelled due to weather are responsible for informing the public about the cancellation of their event. Again, we recommend watching your local news channel for event cancellations.
