New Summer Recreation Program Starts July13!

The Sports & Recreation Department will launch a new 6-week, supervised summer prgroam this year for ages 7-15. The program will offer indoor and outdoor recreational activities and games, plus arst and crafts. Children can participate daily, weekly, or for the full 6-weeks. Initial registration deadline is June 5, but registrations will continue to be accepted through the summer based on space availability. For FAQ sheet and Registration Form, download below. NOW OPEN! Revolution Training & Fitness Center in the Arena!

Under the direction of pro trainer Gina Nowak, Revolution offers a full range of personal and group training as well as popular classes like Zumba, Yoga, and Pilates. New Additions to the Annex! After a lot of hard work in raising the needed funds--including a raffle of a signed Ryan Miller Sabres jersey--new plexiglass has been installed in the Arena Annex. Heating units were also installed, so winter play and activities will be much more comfortable!

Kenan Center Arena

The Kenan Arena, built in 1969, is a modern, multi-use facility that houses the Kenan sports and recreation department, and also provides exhibition space for special events such as the Quilters’ Guild Bi-Annual Quilt Show and the Kenan Center’s 100 American Craftsmen show, which has been held annually since 1971, and attracts more than 5,000 visitors to the Kenan Center campus.
