New KidQuest Summer Recreation Program Through August 21The Sports & Recreation Department is now hosting a 6-week open recreation program this year for ages 7-15. The Arena is open from 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. with a variety of recreational activities scheduled each day including soccer, basketball, pickleball, and more, plus arts and crafts. Summer recreation staff will be on hand to supervise each activity area. Children can get a daily, weekly or full season pass to attend on the days and times of the choice. NOW OPEN! Revolution Training & Fitness Center in the Arena!Under the direction of pro trainer Gina Nowak, Revolution offers a full range of personal and group training as well as popular classes like Zumba, Yoga, and Pilates. New Additions to the Annex! After a lot of hard work in raising the needed funds--including a raffle of a signed Ryan Miller Sabres jersey--new plexiglass has been installed in the Arena Annex. Heating units were also installed, so winter play and activities will be much more comfortable!
Kenan Center ArenaThe Kenan Arena, built in 1969, is a modern, multi-use facility that houses the Kenan sports and recreation department, and also provides exhibition space for special events such as the Quilters’ Guild Bi-Annual Quilt Show and the Kenan Center’s 100 American Craftsmen show, which has been held annually since 1971, and attracts more than 5,000 visitors to the Kenan Center campus.
